💚 5: W 4/17 - force on a moving charge in a magnetic field
Today, we will learn what happens when we put a charge in a magnetic field. Watch the video below on "Force on moving charge in magnetic field". In the video, we'll learn how magnetic fields and electrical charges interact. We'll learn the formula for force on a moving charge in a magnetic field. We'll also learn the right hand rule to figure out the direction of the force. Finally, we'll learn about the shape of the path of a moving charge in a magnetic field and how to quantify it.
If you need additional support, check out section 24.5 in your textbook.
Then, we'll practice magnetic force problems by doing 📖 Mastering Physics "Ch 24 - magnetic force on moving particles" problems #C18, C21, C23, 22, 23, 25, and velocity selector questions #59-62.
