AT Cycle 25
2/8 - 2/13
W 2/8
Th 2/9
F 2/10
M 2/13
🔴 2: Th 2/9a, 🟡 4: W 2/8 - circuits review (1)
Today, we'll spend time making sure that we understand everything from this past unit:
Set 1/2: Ch 27 #61, 63, 65, 67, 79, 80, 2007E1, 2013E2, 2006E2, 1996E2, 2010E2
Set 3: 2002E2, 2003E2, 1986E2, 1988E2 (don't worry about part e), 1989E3
Make sure you've gone back and re-done all of the problems involving energy and dielectrics.
If you finish all of the required problems from this unit, do more AP Problems from AP Central or from the workbook in Google Classroom.
Homework: Finish any of the work above. Circuits Unit Assessment on Monday, February 13th. Review all of the magnetism topics you should have learned last year on my AT Magnetism Review page.

❤️ 2: F 2/10, 💛 4: M 2/13a - magnetism intro
In groups today, we'll try to compile a list of facts and equations that you should know about magnetism. We'll collect all of the ideas and make sure you understand the following:
Properties of permanent magnets (poles, domains) and magnetic fields (direction of magnetic field lines).
Magnetic field lines and 3-D notation.
Magnitude and direction of force on a moving charged particle in a magnetic field.
Magnitude and direction of force on a current carrying wire in a magnetic field.
Direction of magnetic field created by a current-carrying wire.
Direction of magnetic field created by a loop of wire or a solenoid.
Right hand rules associated with the concepts above.
Take notes on all of above and upload pictures of your notes to ✏️ Google Classroom assignment due Monday at 10pm.
With any time remaining, continue on to problems in the next post.
Homework: Study for Circuits Unit Assessment next class - Monday, February 13th Wednesday, February 15th. Make sure you have reviewed all of the magnetism topics you should have learned last year on my AT Magnetism Review page. Upload PDF of your magnetism notes to ✏️ Google Classroom assignment due Monday, February 13th at 10pm.
📕 2: M 2/13, 📒 4: M 2/13b - basic magnetism problems (1)
We'll start the period by testing our understanding of force on moving charged particles in magnetic fields with a couple of demonstrations. We'll discuss applications including the mass spectrometer. We'll then apply our problem solving and collaboration skills by doing problems from AP problems for force by magnetic field. (MC ans: CADEEACDA)
Homework: Work on above problems and upload FRQ solutions to ✏️ Google Classroom assignment by Wednesday at 10pm. Study for Circuits Unit Assessment next class - Monday, February 13th Wednesday, February 15th.
