Today, we'll start a new unit by studying vectors in the two-dimensional plane. You will explore the topic with a 🤖 Gizmos: Vectors, while completing this packet in ✏️ Google Classroom which will guide your exploration.
Homework: Make sure the EL Gizmos - Vectors packet is complete.
Today, we'll practice taking vector components in ➕ Positive Physics. We'll do "work" problems from unit 8: diagonal forces (11 problems total):

Today, we'll look at "static equilibrium" problems - where the forces are balanced. In these problems, we'll look at making ΣFx=0 and ΣFy=0, but some of the forces will be at angles. We'll look at an example that I call a "Y-tension problem."
