Today, we'll start class by discussing a classic physics problem - the ballistic pendulum.  This problem combines ideas of conservation of momentum and conservation of energy.  

Then, we'll do 📖 textbook Ch 10 - Momentum & Energy problems: 83, 86, 87.

Today, after the quiz, we'll remember that momentum is a vector and discuss momentum problems in two-dimensions.  The discussion will brief and touch upon our previous experience with two-dimensional vectors.  We'll do the first problem from this Momentum 2-D presentation.  

Then, we'll do 📖 Mastering Physics "Ch 9 - 2-D Collisions" problems: #35, 39, 63 (plus colliding cars problem).
