πŸ”΄ 1: M 3/22, 🟑 3: M 3/22a Faraday's Law AP Problems (2)

Today, start by finishing practice problems using the "general form of Faraday's Law."

Required: 1985E3, 1996E3, 1999E2

With any time remaining, move on to transformer problems from chapter 31 (should be review from last year):

Required: 62, 63, 64, 65

πŸŸ₯ 1: T 3/23, 🟨 3: M 3/22b transformer problems

Today, we'll do some transformer problems from the textbook Chapter 31 (These should be review from last year really. If you're totally bored by these, find other problems on previous topics.)

Required: 62, 63, 64, 65

With any time remaining, watch below. This next topic is very important to understand!

Homework: Upload all solutions to second 3 AP problems to ✏️ Google Classroom by Tuesday, March 23rd at 10pm. Quiz Wednesday, March 24th on Faraday's Law! For the quiz, you should know Lenz's Law and Faraday's Law (including motional emf and the general form). Make sure you're caught up with all of your work. Watch the following videos on inductors in circuits:

Optionally, check out some practical stuff about inductors including what inductors do in series and in parallel.

Quiz TODAY on Faraday's Law!

Daily check-in: LR Circuits

Today, after a check-in, we'll try some AP problems involving LR circuits. We'll remember what happens to inductors at t=0 and t=∞. We'll also calculate the energy stored in an inductor.

Required: 1998E2, 2008E2

If you need any help with inductor problems, check out this basic problem:

For a more complex example problem, watch the following (inductor starts around 3:38):

πŸ“• 1: W* 3/24b, πŸ“’ 3: Th 3/25 LR Circuits (2)

Today, we'll try some AP problems involving LR circuits. We'll remember what happens to inductors at t=0 and t=∞. We'll also calculate the energy stored in an inductor.

Required: 1998E2, 2008E2

With any time remaining, we'll study for the next quiz by doing extra AP problems that you can find online.

Homework: Make sure you've completed all required problems. Quiz on transformers and LR circuits on Thursday, April 8th.
