This hour, we'll finish the internal resistance lab in β©οΈ Pivot Interactives.
After finishing the lab, do textbook problems Chapter 27 #10, 14 and Giancoli Chapter 26 #1, 2, 4. Then do 2015E2 to check for your understanding. Watch the homework videos first if you prefer.
Homework: β©οΈ Pivot lab due on Wednesday at 10pm. If you have any trouble understanding the lab, watch: Finding Internal Resistance and EMF of a Battery (JCS) below. Also, everyone should watch this video on maximizing the power for an external resistor: Maximizing Power for an External Resistor (lasseviren1).
Today, we'll spend time making sure that we understand everything from this past unit:
Set 1: Ch 27 #61, 63, 65, 67, 79, 80, 2007E1, 2006E2, 1996E2, 2010E2
Make sure you've gone back and re-done all of the problems involving energy and dielectrics.
If you finish all of the required problems from this unit, do more AP Problems.
Homework: Make sure you have completed the β©οΈ Pivot lab on internal resistance due on Wednesday at 10pm.
In groups today, we'll try to compile a list of facts and equations that you should know about magnetism. We'll collect all of the ideas and make sure you understand the following:
Properties of permanent magnets (poles, domains) and magnetic fields (direction of magnetic field lines).
Magnetic field lines and 3-D notation.
Magnitude and direction of force on a moving charged particle in a magnetic field.
Magnitude and direction of force on a current carrying wire in a magnetic field.
Direction of magnetic field created by a current-carrying wire.
Direction of magnetic field created by a loop of wire or a solenoid.
Right hand rules associated with the concepts above.
Take notes on all of above and upload pictures of your notes to βοΈ Google Classroom assignment due Sunday at 10pm.
With any time remaining, continue on to problems in the next post.
Homework: Make sure you have reviewed all of the magnetism topics you should have learned last year on my AT Magnetism Review page.
This hour, we'll practice by doing problems from AP problems for force by magnetic field. (MC ans: CADEEACDA)
Homework: Make sure you have reviewed all of the magnetism topics you should have learned last year on my AT Magnetism Review page. Upload pictures of your magnetism notes to βοΈ Google Classroom assignment by Sunday at 10pm.
