Quiz today on resistor circuits and Kirchhoff's Laws.
After the quiz, we'll practice the derivation of the charge on a capacitor over time (charging and discharging) as well as the currents over time. Submit a picture of your work to โ๏ธ Google Classroom.
Then, we'll complete Capacitor Pre-Lab in โ GoFormative.com after watching South alumnus Jon Ting's video on how to use Kirchhoff's Laws to determine an expression for the charge of a capacitor as time changes.
Homework: Submit a picture of your derivation of charging and discharging equations in โ๏ธ Google Classroom by tonight at 10pm. If you did not finish the pre-lab in โ GoFormative.com above, do so by Sunday at 10pm.
Pd 1 Juniors - assembly today.
If you have not yet completed the Capacitor Pre-Lab in โ GoFormative.com, start with that. Then, we'll do a lab in โฉ๏ธ Pivot Interactives called "Analyzing RC Circuits" where we'll use data to determine the unknown capacitance in a charging circuit. This lab in Pivot is due on Wednesday.
Homework: Make sure you have completed the Capacitor Pre-Lab in โ GoFormative by Sunday. โฉ๏ธ Pivot lab due on Wednesday. Watch the following video on energy stored in a capacitor:
Today, we'll work on the โฉ๏ธ Pivot Interactives lab "Analyzing RC Circuits." Make sure you fill out the form in โ๏ธ Google Classroom about error. Lab is due on Wednesday at 10pm.
If you haven's completed โฉ๏ธ Pivot Interactives lab "Analyzing RC Circuits," start with that. Lab is due tonight at 10pm.
Then, to check your understanding, do the following problems:
Required: 2007E1, 2013E2, and Chapter 27 #59 & 60.
Homework: โฉ๏ธ Pivot Interactives lab "Analyzing RC Circuits" due Wednesday at 10pm. If you have not yet watched this video on energy stored in a capacitor, make sure you watch it:
