Check-In: Rolling without slipping
We'll do a daily check-in, and then, you'll work collaboratively on some problems involving rolling without slipping:
Required: 1992M2 a-b (try c after tonight's video), 1997M3 (do a with forces by doing b and c first), 1991M2
Enrichment: go to the AP Central, and do additional problems with rolling without slipping.
If you finish early, go back and make sure that you've completed all other required problems in this unit up to this point. Pay special attention to massive pulley problems.
Homework: Continue working on problems from this unit.
Today, we'll continue working on problems from last class rolling without slipping:
Required: 1992M2 a-b (try c after tonight's video), 1997M3 (do a with forces by doing b and c first), 1991M2
Enrichment: go to the AP Central, and do additional problems with rolling without slipping.
If you finish early, go back and make sure that you've completed all other required problems in this unit up to this point. Pay special attention to massive pulley problems.
Homework: Make sure all rolling problems are finished.
Today, we'll do a lab in β©οΈ Pivot Interactives called "Falling Wheels BCF." In the lab, you'll explore a classic situation that requires the use of both translational and rotational dynamics.
Homework: The "Falling Wheels" lab is due in Pivot interactives by Wednesday, November 11th at 10pm.
Today, we'll finish the lab in β©οΈ Pivot Interactives called "Falling Wheels BCF." In the lab, you'll explore a classic situation that requires the use of both translational and rotational dynamics.
If you finish early, watch the video below on rotational kinetic energy, and get ahead on the problems from the next post.
Homework: The "Falling Wheels" lab is due in Pivot interactives by Thursday, November 12th at 10pm. Watch this video on rotational kinetic energy and check out the clarification image after the video:
