Today, we'll look at another lab in β©οΈ Pivot Interactives called "Ballistic Simple Pendulum Challenge." Before you start the lab, fill in the form in βοΈ Google Classroom for goals for being a collaborative team member due Friday at 10pm. This is a classic physics problem which will give us the opportunity to think through the different problem solving methods we have learned in this class up until this point. Traditionally, ballistic pendulums are used to measure the velocity of fast-moving projectiles such as bullets. After making measurements using a model, we will explore the differences between the expected and actual results. We will be continuing this lab next class.
Homework: β©οΈ Pivot "2-D Collisions" lab due Friday. Collaborative Team Member Goals in βοΈ Google Classroom also due Friday. β©οΈ Pivot ballistic pendulum lab is due on Monday at 10pm.
Today, we'll continue the lab we started last time in β©οΈ Pivot Interactives called "Ballistic Simple Pendulum Challenge."
With any time remaining, do some optional extra practice: Momentum Practice with Answers or study for your quiz next class on all of β Positive Physics Unit 14: momentum.
Homework: β©οΈ Pivot ballistic pendulum lab and Collaborative Team Member Self-Evaluation in βοΈ Google Classroom are both are due on Monday at 10pm. Quiz Tuesday on all of β Positive Physics Unit 14: momentum.
Quiz Today on all of β Positive Physics Unit 14: momentum.
We'll spend the whole shortened period on the momentum assessment.
