Today, we'll apply what you've learned about inclined planes to βž• Positive Physics problems. Do the "work" problems from unit 9: inclined forces from the following sections:

  • preparation problems

  • complete problems 1

  • complete problems 2

Only completion score counts, so try the problems till you get them right. Problems are due on Wednesday, January 5th at 10pm. No late work will be accepted.

Homework: βž• Positive Physics problems above due Wednesday, January 5th at 10pm. Also, don't forget to finish your write up for the inclined plane friction lab by Friday, January 7th.

Optional Extra Practice: Do page 6 of the Newton's Second Law packet (skip 3c). You may check Solutions to Inclined Plane Problems, but try them on your own first!

Today, we'll try some even harder pulley problems. If you need some ideas on how to approach these problems, you can watch the video below, but don't forget to write a Ξ£F statement in the y-direction to get your normal force for the mass on the incline. Then, we'll start the βž• Positive Physics problems from next post.
