2: M 9/18 lab, 4: T 9/19 lab

Today, after the daily quiz, you'll finish working on basic Newton's Laws problems from Chapter 4, and then you will be working on some additional problems on more advanced Newton's Laws concepts from Chapter 5:

Practice: 17, 18, 65, 40, 73, 79, 84
Required: 21, 42, 43, 74, 76
Enrichment: 31, 49, 85, 48, 90*, 93, 94

I'll assess your understanding through conversations with you.

Homework:   Watch the two videos and answer the questions below in Google Classroom:

Do not watch this whole video - skip to the middle and watch at least one minute. Pay attention to going around curves. Audio doesn't matter.

Banked Turns - Nascar Experience

Watch this entire video.

GOOGLE CLASSROOM:  Then write a reflection on what you witnessed including the answers to the following questions:
  • Why are curves banked?
  • What if the car is going too fast?
  • What is the role of friction in a banked turn?  This is a complex question which requires a complex answer.
  • What happens if you're going too slow?
